Edition originale peu courante de ce volume (1er semestre de 1928). Il renferme le mémoire fondamental de Clovis VINCENT, Diagnostic des tumeurs comprimant le lobe frontal (pp. 801-885 avec 57 figures regroupées sur 30 planches h.-t.). Clovis Vincent (1879-1947), brillant neurologue, et qui allait devenir "the world's best neurosurgeon" selon Cushing, s'était initié à la neurochirurgie aux côtés de Thierry de Martel, et de Cushing (1927) et commençait à opérer seul, avec succès, avec l'aide de ses internes. Ce mémoire novateur et richement illustré fut très remarqué. In his clinical picture, Vincent attempted to do for the frontal lobe, what Babinski had done for the cerebellum; the meeting of the less unfaithful signs in a striking syndrome. Instead of following the classic grouping, psychic signs, balance disorders, coordination and mime, he proposed the following triad added to the signs of cranial hypertension: facial paralysis of the central type, more or less pronounced aphasia, early mental health problems clearly represented.
