It was also obvious that the "Kuiavian studies" are very important in the context of the Globular Amphorae culture as a whole, since its Kuiavian concentration was among the most dynamic, affecting cultural transformations in a number of other, sometimes very distant, regions. The 15 years of studies provided a very clear picture of the settlement of this culture: 770 new settlement points were discovered, of which 95 were surveyed in greater detail (with 80 being either sondaged or excavated). A rich collection of heretofore rare materials was obtained, and this cast light on a number of issues which till recently were largely beyond the grasp of Polish prehistorians, to mention but the stone industry, the structure of meat consumption, or the flint industry. Significant progress was also recorded in documentation of transformations of the Globular Amphorae culture, especially as regards its earliest stages.
