No, this is the rare first edition itself, published by the Maine Department of Forestry in 1917; 174 p., unmarked and clean except for faint smudge on p. 174 and other smudges on paste-downs and end pages; drawings, wonderful sepia photos, and period ads; fold-out map on fine paper, without creases or tears; back gutter cracked but volume square; maroon boards have gilt lettering, clear and bright on upper front board clear, but faded on lower section and spine where there is much staining. Corners bumped and abrasion at lower edge of stained back board. This lovely and interesting work deserves rebinding.…
