Slightly rubbed and used, foxed. Good copy. Written by a Master of Fox-hounds in the early 1800s, Lord Willoughby de Broke declared (in 1922) that, "a modern Master of Fox-hounds would do well to follow every word of advice it contains." .

pp. xv, (i), 144. Coloured frontispiece, 10 plates, mostly coloured. Quarter black cloth over orange boards, uncut and unopened, the cloth on the boards surface eroded by silverfish, otherwise a very good copy.

First edition. Bound in red 19th century half morocco binding. Spine is decorated with raised bands and gilt stamping. All edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers. A very good copy, some spotting and corners are a little scuffed. Three steel engravings. "A scarce and highly valued work" (Schwerdt).
