Dr. Breakey's global nursing efforts are focused on prevention and treatment of rheumatic heart disease in resource-limited settings. She is a leader in Team Heart, a nonprofit organization that works in Rwanda. Dr. Breakey led a team that developed the teaching modules, both written materials and videos, which were translated into Kinyarwanda langu.
