A collection of documents and correspondence related to the debt owed by the federal government to Massachusetts for services rendered during the Civil War. Assembled by Massachusetts businessman, William C. Cusack, his wife continued his research and compiled this book after his death both to further Massachusetts' claim, but also in honor of her husband. Some light rubbing to wrapper, minor chipping to spine ends.
