The literature survey presented in the introductory chapter shows that no work has been done on mixed ligand complexes of Co(II),Ni(II),Zn(II)and Cd(II) with 1,1-dicyanoethylene-2,2-dithiolate/1-cyano-1-carboethoxyethy lene-2,2-dithiolate and nitrogen donor specially with aromatic diamines such as o-phenylenediamine (OPD) and their reaction products with heterocyclic ternary monoamine [pyridine (py), -picoline ( -pic), beta-picoline (beta-pic) or Gamma-picoline (Gamma-pic)]. It was, therefore, thought of interest to undertake synthesis and structural studies on mixed ligand complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) with some nitrogen and sulphur donors by physico-chemical techniques. 100 pp. Englisch.

When kidney function decreases: Blood pressure is increased due to fluid overload and production of vasoactive hormones created by the kidney via the renin-angiotensin system, increasing one's risk of developing hypertension and/or suffering from congestive heart failure. Exercise training performed either during or in between haemodialysis sessions improved VO2 max.Material and methods: A non experimental, Questionnaire and interview based study was performed among the dialysis patients, nephrologists and physiotherapist. 3 Questionnaires were used for the study.study shows that burden of kidney disease and work status significantly affected in haemodialytic patients and accounts for low quality of life. Pacing activities was the most preferred choice of treatment for fatigue in dialysis patients while few preferred giving rest as well.The quality of life in dialysis patients was poor in few domains of kidney disease quality of life-short form questionnaire which included the burden of kidney disease, work status, sleep and associated symptoms. 104 pp. Englisch.
