The leather is a little worn and fraying on the spine edges. Binding is tight and the contents mostly clean, some tanning on preliminary and last pages and a little tanning throughout the book. Frontispiece, illustrated title page, title page, small oval portrait presumably Holbein, Preface, 46 engraved plates with tissue guards and the text in English and French, and one further engraving depicting a dance of death. The title page has some tanning and a small stamp in the lower corner of the St. Charles College Catonsville Library MD and there are two other similar small stamps. A contemporary previous owner's inscription in the top right corner of the title page.
