He exhibited his work extensively at the Royal Academy and received a gold medal for his sculpture in plaster lone Removing the Body of St Sebastian after the Martyrdom which he won in 1894, a year after this book was awarded to him. His most famous work is a statue of Sir Wilfrid Lawson - the anti-imperialism politician - which stands in Victoria Embankment Gardens.
