Tightly bound in full calf, rubs to spine, headcap has strip missing, rub to front upper corner. Corners worn but good. Black leather label shows bright gilt title. First free endpaper missing at front, 2nd has #87 in pencil. No other marks. Foxing, toning seen to some sections more than others. Small split to leather hinges, either side of headcap, otherwise solid binding.

An old sticker for Bacot's Best Liver Pills (the form is an owl) was long ago pasted to the front by some wag of a schoolboy no doubt. Itadds a kind of charm to the book. Lots of problems but the book is complete, square and has a binding with no tears or parting. ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 466 pages; There are some names on the endpapers. Also, the book is undated but there is a note that says the owner received the book in 1886, plus there are postmarks (? ! ) on the endpapers for that same year.

If they are reinforced by 500 more and no relif can be offered till the end of 8 weeks, how many ounces must gi given daily to each man?" or "If I buy 1000 ells Flemish of linen for £90, what must be sold for per ell English, to make £10 by the purchase?"
