Hardcover. A true curiosity. Consists of a black simulated leather 4 1/2 x 7 inch six-ring binder, tabbed with cloth tape, divided into 24 sections, such as Handicapped, Sick, Dying, Servicemen, Childbirth, Discouraged & Depressed, Alcoholic or Narcotics Victim, etc, with typed, and handwritten (in fountain pen) prayers, passages from Scripture, etc, plus some glued in clippings from the Bible, mainly Psalms. Apparently a work in progress, since the last seven sections have no entries. Very good condition, with some soil and wear on the binder, paper starting to lightly age yellow, otherwise clean and unmarked. Probably 1940s-50s, and providing an interesting, personal glimpse into the life and ministry of a clergyman, probably Methodist of Episcopal, judging from the sources of some of the prayers. Religion; Christian.
