Limited edition facsimile of 987 numbered copies. Full red leather, 34 x 25 cm; 40 pp 23 full-page illuminations decorated with gold. A very high-quality facsimile edition of the Flemish Apocalypse (or 'Apocalipsis Flamenco'), the original of which is housed in the BNF, Paris, under shelf mark "Neerlandais 3". Dating from the beginning of the fifteenth century, this is the only surviving illuminated Apocalypse written in Flemish. Gold is used throughout the manuscript, highlighting the halos of the Lord, the angels, and St. John against the generally gloomy blue background. A separate commentary volume - not present here - was published by Moleiro in 2005. Copy No. 120. Fine in the publisher's matching clamshell box, which has very minor scuffs and is a trifle faded.…
