Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the intricate field of geometric infinitesimals, focusing on the third curvature of curves, a concept crucial for understanding the behavior of curves in higher dimensions. The author, an esteemed mathematician, provides an in-depth analysis of this subject using both classic and contemporary approaches, providing a comprehensive examination of the topic. The book delves into the relationships between the third curvature of a curve and its radius of curvature, shedding light on the geometry of curves and their properties. Through the exploration of various methods, including first and second derivatives, the author presents a thorough understanding of how curves behave in space. Beyond theoretical concepts, the book also explores practical applications of third curvature, demonstrating its significance in understanding the shape and behavior of real-world objects. This book is a valuable resource for mathematicians, physicists, and engineers seeking a deeper understanding of the geometry of curves. Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book establishes an official code of ordinances to regulate military life for the French under King Louis XIV. This code outlines the rules and statutes relating to all functions of French warfare, including the recruitment, logistics, and conduct of both officers and soldiers. The ordinances touch on military life in its totality, detailing not only how conscripts are to be raised and paid, but also how prisoners are to be kept and the procedures for surrendering fortresses. Within these pages, the author demonstrates the extreme level of detail involved in regulating warfare in the era of Louis XIV, with rules accounting for nearly every conceivable scenario that could arise in the course of a campaign. This book will prove essential reading for any scholar of military history or anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the functioning of the French army in the 17th century.
