The Undesired Princess finds the overly practical Rollin Hobart transported to a far-from-sensible world, while in The Enchanted Bunny, ghostwriter Joe Johnson falls into the middle of a fairy tale. Two reluctant heroes use modern knowledge to fight fairy-tale monsters ? and even though things don't work out exactly as they should, both must try to save a strange and exciting new world. A funny, fast-moving adventure. De Camp's title novella, first published in the legendary Unknown Worlds in 1942, is widely regarded as the best of his early solo fantasies ? an irreverent, witty portal fantasy with a distinctly rationalist sensibility that anticipates many of the themes he would develop with Fletcher Pratt in the Harold Shea series.
