Helming (1938 - 2014) moved to Rome, where he obtained a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. While in Rome he spent time with St. Josemaria Escriva, and in 1986 he he published this biography, Footprints in the Snow, in English. Since then, it has been translated into many other languages, including this 1990 Italian translation. …
