Cover bears the faint old rubber-stamp impression of a music outlet in Portland Oreg…on. Nathaniel Dett was an African American composer/arranger best known for his work with the spirituals. Dett contributes about 600 words on the piece and its background inside front cover; "'juba' is the stamping on the ground with the foot and following it with two staccato pats of the hands in two-four time".
