He produced portraits, book illustrations and reproductive prints after works by contemporary Dutch artists. His finely executed portrait engravings are representative of late eighteenth-century Dutch printmaking.Biography artist: Dionys van Nijmegen (1705-1798) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman and decorative artist from Rotterdam. He became known for wall paintings, decorative schemes and portraits. He belonged to a prominent family of artists and remained active throughout most of the eighteenth century. Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, creasing, and soiling. Remains of paper at top rear corners. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
