Hardcover. Except for aging, autograph, front of envelope and cachet are near fine. The back of the envelope, however, has residue from being pasted into an album. For display, this autograph is still near fine. Dizzy Dean is in the Hall of Fame and was one of the great pitchers of all time. His career was cut short by injuries. He is also remermbered as the announcer for the Game of the Week on Saturdays in the 1950's and 60's. Along with sidekicks Buddy Blatner and more famously Pee Wee Reese, Diz was famous for his enthusiasm and his unusual relationship with English grammar: "He slud in there safe, Pee Wee!" Issued by the Falstaff Brewing Company of St. Louis and called "The Hip Pocket Size" and "Self Pronouncin'". A wonderful piece of Cardinals and Gas House Gang and baseball memorabilia.

Original eight paneled fold out game day program, 10 by 7. This example signed in pencil by Hall of Fame baseball player, Dizzy Dean, in what was effectively his final season with the Cubs. This renowned pitcher (1930-41) won 30 games in 1934 with St. Louis (a feat accomplished since only by Denny McLain in 1968); he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953.
