Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 33-1/3 rpm, 10-inch mono vinyl disc, "Decca Long Play Microgroove unbreakable DL 5188," very-good-plus vinyl in a very-gpod-plus cardboard sleeve. Starring Kenny Delmar, Danny Scholl, Mary Hatcher, and Fredd Wayne. Still smarting from the GOP defeat in 1948, a magazine editor decides he needs a new personality to mold into presidential timber, and assigns five of his brightest Yale men to scout the country. They turn up the unprincipled, double-talking backwoods Texas politician Hominy Smith (Kenny Delmar, radio's Senator Klaghorn), running for re-election against ex-G.I. Easy Jones, who of course turns out to be Smith's daughter's secret love. Etc. Early enough that this album was also available in 78 rpm. Whether either author had met Lyndon Johnson is not known. Lead author John Whedon wrote for "The Great Gildersleeve" on radio, and "The Andy Griffith Show," "Leave It To Beaver," and "The Dick Van Dyke Show" for television. He was the grandfather of "Buffy" TV writer and director Joss Whedon. (Gee, wonder if that helped young Joss get his start?) Catalogs $80; here reduced from $24. …

Softcover. Zustand: Very Good. Quarto. Single bifolium with a single-sheet-insert making six pages. Price stamp at the top of the front cover and toning to the exterior, very good. For voice and piano. Plate imprint, "My Night - 4." A *New York Times* review of the original production of *Foxy* states that the musical, "has the boisterous heartiness and good humor of a production of the nineteen-twenties. And it has gone a lot farther backall the way to Ben Johnsonfor its theme, for it is based roughly on 'Volpone' . Like its hearty ancestors of decades ago, 'Foxy' is neither fancy nor arty. It does not fret over refinements of plot and characterization, but it wears its crudities with a grin and has delightful professional gusto.". …
