Mazzocchi, aus Civita Castellana stammend, gilt als Komponist der Oper "La catena d'Adone" (1626), als bedeutender Entwickler einer eigenständigen römischen Oper. - Das äußerst seltene Buch ist in Deutschland lediglich in der Stabi Berlin und dort auch noch als "kriegsbedingt verlagert" bezeichnet. - Erstes nn. Textblatt mit dreieckigem Ausriß an ob. Stehkante bis zu 4 cm in den Text reichend, Titel-Bl. etwas gebräunt u. leicht fleckig, Vorsätze, verso Deckeln, Titel-Bl., die folgenden u. letzten 2 Bll. mit stärkeren Wurmfraß-Spuren, teils mit Buchstaben-Verlust, dennoch erschließbar, sonst durchgehend vermehrter Wurmfraß im w.
