Experto en el área de Medicina Conductual del Sueño, entre sus intereses de investigación se incluyen el sueño en los trastornos psiquiátricos y los fenómenos neurocognitivos del insomnio, los mecanismos de acción en la Terapia Cognitivo- Conductual para el Insomnio (TCC-I) y en los hipnóticos sedantes y el desarrollo de tratamientos alternativos para el insomnio.
