Nicht nur der Gedanke, dass Künstler durch ihr Wirken zum kulturellen Leben und zur Weiterentwicklung der Gesellschaft einen wichtigen Beitrag leisten, sondern auch der finanzielle Aspekt der Regelungen des Urheberrechts wird beleuchtet. Künstler sollen sich einerseits von ihrem Schaffen selbst erhalten können, andererseits sind Kunstwerke gerade dazu da, von der Gesellschaft interpretiert und rezipiert zu werden.
