Three of the exceptionally rare studie…s of Latin poets by the "Great Dousa" Janus Dousa [Johan van der Does] lord of Noordwyck (December 6, 1545 - October 8, 1604). Dousa was Dutch statesman, historian, poet and philologist, and the defender of Leiden, was born at Noordwyck, in the province of Holland, and played an important role in the independence of the Netherlands. The first of these works was issued just four years after Spanish troppos pillaged Antwerp. Size: 32mo - over 4" - 5" tall. Book.
