Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. No foxing or odor. Former owners name neatly written in fine point fountain pen on the title page of each volume. Front hinge on volume one is a bit loose and top two inches of the paper and webbing has split on the interior. Black endpapers. Burgandy color, embossed boards with bright gold lettering on the spines. Volume I has a 1/4" splash of, perhaps, tea near the fore edge of the half title page. Volume I has a 1/4" tear at the fore edge of the rear endpaper. A very nice looking, matching set.
