(3), III, 187pp. Le Chatelier (1855-1929) was a French soldier and Islamic scholar who influenced French policy towards its colonial Muslim subjects. Around this time, he was conducting missions to Morocco, West Africa, Egypt and Turkey. He found that French fears of Pan-Islamic conspiracies were unfounded. // VOL XXXVII.
