This journey through Egypt is the work of an economist resident in the region for five years. Octavo (222 x 153 mm). Colour frontispiece, 59 colour plates, all… with captioned tissue guards, 2 folding maps, red vignette on title page. Finely bound by Bumpus in contemporary dark green morocco, raised bands, compartments lettered and tooled in gilt, front board elaborately panelled with green onlays and gilt fleurons, rear board panelled in gilt, board edges and turn-ins gilt, edges gilt. Spine sunned, light wear to lower raised band and extremities, light foxing internally, more so to endleaves: very good.
