Slipcase shows tanning to the spine and light rubbing to the edges, consistent with age. The book's black cloth binding exhibits faint surface rubbing and minor shelf wear to the extremities. Internally Fine; the text block is remarkably crisp, clean, and tight with all illustrations on colored paper stocks present and vivid. Signed by illustrator W.A. Dwiggins, no. 333 of 1,200. Includes an inscription from a previous owner that reads: "A Valentine for Mary. 2/14/31. From an old admirer." Designed and illustrated by the legendary W.A. Dwiggins (William Addison Dwiggins) and printed by the Pynson Printers.
