Archive of three original early Draft scripts for the 1989 film, all three dated eleven to thirteen months prior to the commencement of the production in October of 1988. An internally duplicated Third Draft script, dated September 1, 1989, with the annotations of the title and an unknown crew member's illegible initials on the front wrapper, and manuscript pencil annotations on eight pages (one on the verso). Bound in following the script is a title page for a previous Third Draft script, dated July 28, 1987, with a copied "Received / Sep 2 1987 / Story Library" stamp on the bottom of the page. An internally duplicated Draft script dated September 25, 1987, with the annotations of the title and date on the front wrapper, with manuscript pencil annotations on nine pages (including many of the same notes as on the previous draft). And an internally duplicated Third Draft script, housed in a two-ring binder, dated November 10, 1987, with manuscript ink annotations on three pages. All three scripts with screenwriting credits for "RJ," Roland Joffé. Director and screenwriter Roland Joffé's epic historical war drama about the Manhattan Project and the development of the first atomic bomb, starring Paul Newman as General Leslie Groves, who directed the Manhattan Project, and Dwight Schultz as theoretical physicist J. Draft script for the two-hour season four premiere of the 1983-87 television series, which aired on September 24, 1985. Copy belonging to actor Nick Dimitri, who played the role of Rico, with manuscript highlighter annotations on twelve pages, highlighting his character's action and dialogue and a manuscript ink annotation calling out his character's name on the cast page. One of the most culturally ubiquitous television series of the 1980s, "The A-Team," aired on NBC for five seasons and 98 episodes from January 23, 1983 to March 8, 1987. Featuring George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz, and Mr. T as a team of US soldiers who have become "good-guy" mercenaries after escaping from the brig for a crime in which they were framed. In this episode the A-Team is hired to rescue a judge's daughter kidnapped by mobsters who have taken her to Italy.
