Zustand: Good. Reprint. Good condition book without dust jacket. Boards are clean with little wear, spine mildly faded. Book has clean and bright contents, pen front endpaper, 299pp with in-text illustrations and 8 full-page colour plates.

Zustand: Fair. 1932. No Edition Remarks. 335 pages. No dust jacket. Decorated green cloth. Illustrated by Gordon Nicoll. Contains tipped-in colour illustrated plates. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Previous owner's inscription and sticker to reverse side of frontispiece. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Notable sunning to spine and boards, with discolouration.

FIRST EDITION. Octavo hardcover (VG) lacking d/w; all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. There is a very tiny name inscription in corner of half-title page otherwise very clean inside. All is firm. The firm cloth covered boards with silver gilt titles and decoration have slightly browned spine and some minor edge wear, mainly to top of spine.
