No. 19 of an edition limited to 130 copies. 9 ¼ hes x 12 ¼. 46 pp. + printer's mark page. Illustrations: (1) reproduction of the Dec. 10th 1844 letter from J. J. Audubon to William Case, regarding the Quadrupeds, (and other printed materials regarding J. J. & Victor Audubon, prospectus for the Vivaparous Quadrupeds of North America, etc., pp. 15-25); (2) photogravure of the exterior of the "Ark"; (3) double-page plate reproducing an 1858-59 painting by Julius Gollman, of some of the members ("Arkites") of the "Ark."
