Very minor edge wear to top and bottom of jacket and spine, slight foxing to page fore edges, not price clipped (£7.50), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy. 252pp. The story of Byron's family, from his self imposed exile in 1816 until his death in Greece in 1824. Malcolm Elwin, editor of the 'Lovelace Papers', died before the publication of this book.

Felicity Jewell (illustrator). 1st Edition. 120 pages, a marvellous book celebrating the Club's first fifty years, illustrated with many photographs and "32 profiles by Felicity Jewell". Much detail on opponents, teams for and against, important scores; recollections; a very entertaining look back at wandering cricket in the first half of the 20th century. On front pastedown, there is a signature which looks somewhat like "Malcolm Elwin". Externally book is in very good condition, save that the gilt writing on spine is a little faded; internally very good though a few pages towards the end appear to be a little unevenly cut towards the top (though this may be a production fault). Jacket somewhat soiled with a few tears, some wear and creasing, and some internal foxing.

Green cloth with gilt and white decoration and gilt titles to the front covers, gilt titles and decoration to the spines. Condition good, corners and edges rubbed, spines and cover edges sunned, hinges weak, previous owner's name to front end-papers, spots to first and last few pages else contents clean. These volumes were Biographer and Critic Malcolm Elwin's own personal copy of the book written by his grandfather and edited by his father, loosely inserted in volume I is the invoice from B. H. Blackwell bookshop in Oxford from when he purchased them in 1932.
