Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. pp. viii, 135. Small 8vo. Light-blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Black-and-white photographs of the author amongst the Indigenous inhabitants of the Northern community of Old Crow. Negligible wear, neat ink name and date to the ffep (possibly by the author), text-block without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked leaves and firm, sound binding; near fine and housed in its original, unclipped, dustjacket showing some light wear along the edges of the panels. Overall, very good. Scarce in commerce. The columns by the one and only Edith Josie have been gaining in popularity ever since they first began to appear in the Whitehorse Star in the fall of 1962. She writes of the daily round in the Indian village of Old Crow, inside the Arctic Circle: of trapping, fishing, hunting, gathering firewood. She writes also of the special events: WA socials, incoming planes, ski and dog-sled races, a fire, a murder, and trips to the outside.
