Considerable cracking to hinges and guttering Binding is loose. Boards have been heavily rub worn with heavy shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a heavily frayed and spine ends are crushed, with some small splits and chips. Moderate splitting to spine joints. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Moderate water marks to boards and spine.

[iv] + 132 + [ii] + 121 + 94pp, 4to, original cloth, covers rubbed, and damp marked, front inner hinge almost broken, rear inner hinge pulled, text clean, presentation inscription from Jeboult on the front endpaper. Bound in the original brown cloth, but the binding is tatty with both boards detached and the spine missing. There is staining to the lower corner of the first 20 pages, and the paper mounts have some creasing (cause by shrinkage of the glue used to attach the plates). The text block is tightly bound, however, and this is suitable as a reading, working or binding copy. The book is made up of three parts (West Somerset, Tone Valley, Taunton), all with separate pagination.
