Im Rahmen dieser Expedition wurde der Film "SOS Eisberg" gedreht (deutsch-amerikanische Koproduktion) unter der Regie von Arnold Fanck (Darsteller u.a. Leni Riefenstahl, Ernst Udet u.a.).
