Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Printing. Very Good/Very Good. The book has foxing along top of boards and text block which does not encroach into the text block which is unmarked throughout. Minuscule push at spine bottom. Else spine is tight, boards rigid and tips are pointed. Appears unread. The jacket has 5" loss at top of spine affecting the word "Deep" in the Deep-Freeze title. More loss at spine bottom and a bit at midspine. Some tiny losses around some edges, a bit of staining and crimping at edges here and there. Also with some removable tape repairs from the reverse side. See pictures. Actually looks quite smart in its shiny new plastic cover. Shipping box is suitable for wrapping with a non-price listed purchase order inside along with biodegradable packing.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. DEFAGO, Eva [314] pp. Coward-McCann 1964 8 1/2" x 6 3/4" I was going to be deep-frozen at a girls' school, so that my parents wouldn't have any trouble with me, Penny thought. Then I will go and marry some snob foot for their sake. But they don't care what I mean. Penny was one of the many girls in Villa Joie who had been sent to boarding school in Switzerland, because their parents would not have any problems with them precisely during those years, when they were most in need of loving care. But Penny knew how to adjust, and with her two roommates, she experienced all that was there to do: breaking school rules, taking with her the temptations and exciting adventures she dumped into, and having nightly dates with young men. Eva Defago herself lives in Switzerland and has attended boarding school there. She had written a number of short stories and short stories before she published this novel.
