The book has had a rough time with title page and both frontendpapers missing. However in an ew Brodart overwrapper the dustwrapper is clear unclipped and very slight loss at the bottom of the spine. An odd mismatch between book and dustwrapper. Digital images available on request.

Previous owner book plate on inside front cover: Dorothy Bode. No markings in book. Round coffee cup mark on front and back DJ that shows up on front and back boards also. DJ has nicks, tears (open and closed). DJ is missing 1" at spine bottom. For long one of the most popular romantic novelists, Mr. Baily has essayed a novel on rather broader themes than has hitherto been his custom.
