An empty Fanfare binding attributed to the atelier of Nicolas & Clovis Eve circa 1580. with the original boards !___________ 4to, 23 x 16cm.Some wear and slight loss, old name written in ink in front central oval (Nicolas Eve). Housed in a felt lined, protective box ( see photos).__________ A beautiful, large example of a binding by one of the most celebrated binderies of the 16th century; acknowledged masters of the reliure a la fanfare.
