Occasional age spots to some pages, minor creases to plate margins (plate 9+10). Otherwise, an unrestored copy of a small fragile technical book meant for the stable book & medicine shelf. The very detailed plates are generally clean. Veternary surgeon William Taplin (d. 1807) published Gentleman's Stable Directory in 1788 & other similar works. This work is supposed to be based on both Bracken & Taplin. Pre-1956 NUC shows only one library reporting a copy of this edition in the US. Rare item.
