Gli autori, servendosi del calcio e delle sue rappresentazioni, portano il lettore a spasso nel tempo e nello spazio, dagli anni Trenta fino alle criticità contemporanee quali finanza creativa, razzismo, omofobia, sessismo, discriminazioni sociali. Ma forse nel finale s'intravede un barlume di speranza. Il calcio romantico non è mai esistito; la passione, quella sì, è romantca di sicuro.
