Condition; original mottled paperback binding, very good for year, minor edge rubbing, smallish tear to spine 3-4 cm, corner folding. Contents Very good, clean & tight, very minimal ageing, corner folding, no inscriptions. Had a look at the paper used, and the watermarks visib…le are lines, a decorative crown, and paper makers details are right along the spine, so unable to decipher but looked as if it could be English, which begs the intriguing question, did they import English paper to Russia in 1793. The pages are held together by the original thin cord, so am not prepared to cut the cord, just to read the paper makers name/details. Anyway from a quick net check, could not find another copy anywhere including WorldCat, let alone for sale. All printed seems to be in Italian text, see the scans. Size: 19.5 x 24.5cm Approx.
