Ruphonus f." Illustrata da 28 incisioni a piena pagina, raffiguranti statue e monete con personaggi in costume dell'epoca, firmate Jo. Georg. sculps. e Ruffonus f. Interesante storia dell'abbigliamento nell'epoca Greca e Romana. Ottavio Ferrari (1607-1682) accademico dell'Università di Padova, pubblicò la prima edizione del trattato De re Vestiaria" nel 1642, sotto forma di tre libri che descrivevano la toga, la praetexta e la tunica attraverso una molteplicità di riferimenti filologici. Seconda edizione assai aumentata rispetto alla prima del 1642 , comprende quattro libri aggiuntivi: De lacernis, De paenulis, De veste militari e De pallio . This edition contains the Analecta and de Lucernis Sepulchralibus for the first time - there are thus 4 full titlepages. *The earliest major work on costumes and clothing of the Greeks and Romans, using statuary and classical written descriptions as source. The first volume was published in 1642, this edition is the first containing all Ferrari's works on this subject.
