Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: As New. 1st Edition. A simply wonderful novel. And this is a clean collectable unread looking copy. Slight foxing to the text block, which clearly reveals the bad decision by this publisher regarding the cheap stock paper. Protected jacket.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. Pretty clean and tight, and in a gorgeous protected jacket. Okay it is a slightly chipped jacket but it has no serious losses. The book was printed on pulp paper so there is a brittle foxed quality to it but this is the best copy I've ever seen, especially with the superb artwork on the cover; this is greatly enhaced because it's got a fresh first print quality. A lone investigator hunts for his partner's killer, and in the best Chase style of prose this grips you and keeps you reading. Good straightforward sleuthing, in the Chandler vein.…

Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. A stunningly refreshing look at the subject of Englands legends. Clean and tight, unread looking, finely produced and utterly fascinating. No annotations, NEW looking, hardback first edition.

Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. A slightly damaged copy; there is what looks like a machine fault at the base of two pages. The title page and the contents page have nearly identical small tears, about half an inch long. They affect nothing in terms of content but this does affect the price. What is normally twice the price asked here is a bargain for someone. A justly celebrated look at Freud by a former 'disciple'. Binding is tight and book looks unread. Perfect jacket, protected. Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. Cloth. Fine/Fine. First Edition. Olive Cook was one of the great topographical writers, and this book is something close to a masterpiece. She guides but does not hector. She dscribes but avoids being flowery. And this book contains that rare combination of harmonious prose and pictures. Evocative and wonderful photographs by the great Edwin Smith, an unpretentious but subtle photographer. Clean and tight book in a clean and intact jacket, which is protected. The first printing - way back in the 80s - meant that the plates were fresh, sharp and original. Subsequent editions become worn, (unlike today's digital files, where the first impression is not necessarily different to the 20th!) These lovely shots are illuminating and tinged with nostalgia, inevitably, but they have a superb reportage quality as well. 0.0 0.0 0.0. Profusely Illustrated (illustrator).…

Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. This has never been read. It is close to being as new when you take the book's age into consideration. Protected perfect jacket. Very slight signs of storage life. No names inside, and certainly not any library marks.

Hardcover. Zustand: As New. Special Edition. Brilliant as new HARDBACK proof copy, numbered and signed with the author's signature and winged red stamp. Extremely unusual to find a proof issued in this way, with a hardback binding and as a signed edition. It was issued without a book jacket, but this copy has an acetate cover for added protection. Needless to say the issue was snapped up by collectors and is now sought after, especially if it has, as this one does, the beautiful bookmark. Perfect collectable, 201 out of 1000, officially stamped with the scarlet wing logo, and presented with the scarce - and beautiful - wing cut out bookmark. This wonderful book has been optioned for a film by Disney. 0.0 0.0 0.0. Signed by Author.…
