Cloth. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. First Edition. Hardback. First Edition. Foxing to end inside covers and edge. Wear and tear to edges of D/J. Some people buy cats, some acquire cats, and some have cats thrust upon them. The author unquestionably comes into the third of these categories. And it is the cats themselves who do the 'thrusting'. It is as though a cat has only to take one look at him to decide to move in. If ever you've owned a cat, wether of lordly pedigree or of proudly unknown parentage, you'll have no difficulty in identifying its most endearing characteristics with those of the cats you meet in this book. The saintliness of Sinjun, the winning wickedness of 'The Lodger', the demureness of Serene - to mention but three of the distinctive personalities - are drawn with life-like vividness that will recall to mind the past and present favourites of every true cat-lover. Frank Crew writes with an engaging warmth and enthusiasm, and the charming cat studies from which his book is illustrated admirably capture the mood of his writing. Illustrated. 112 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).…
