Front and rear gutters are beginning to crack through, so binding feels fragile. Gilt page edges. Beautifully realistic illustrations throughout. A fair reading copy.

The anthology of poetry, short fiction, essays and illustrations was designed to attract young women. In the original publisher's cloth binding with gilt. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's book plate to the first free endpaper.
