Frickstad is the author of " A Century of California Post Offices 1848-1954" published by Philatelic Research Society, Oakland, California in 1955. 1968-1969--Four letters (2 ALS and 2 TLS) between Harry L. Fine of Mesa, Arizona and Victor B. Smith of Mendocino, California. Subjects are philatelic covers and postmarks. Fine wrote numerous articles on the subject, some of which were published in "Stamps" magazine. Smith specialized in Oregon Stage Company material while Fine's interests were in intermountain west pre-statehood covers with a specialized interest in Montana Territory and Fort Laramie. Signed.
