Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a personal account of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848-1849, from the perspective of a young artillery officer, Georg Klauzal. The Hungarian Revolution, a national uprising against Habsburg rule, was part of the wider European Revolutions of 1848, a tumultuous period of political and social change. The author provides a vivid and detailed account of the revolution, from its outbreak in March 1848 to its suppression by Russian forces a year later. He describes the key events of the war, including the battles of Isaszeg, Kapolna, and Temesvár, and offers insights into the political and military strategies of both sides. The author also explores the complex motivations of the Hungarian revolutionaries, their hopes, and fears, providing a valuable historical document for understanding this pivotal moment in Hungarian history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
