Binding with light wear along edges, some scuffing along front hinge. Damp-staining on endpapers, title pages and last two pages, else only in margins.

Custom binding by Jones & Evans, Ltd., a London bookseller, bindery, and stationer during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Full Morocco with floral gilt detail on the spine and covers. Two raised bands and attractive art nouveau text stamped on the spine. Pastel end papers with bindery stamp on the front free end paper verso. Toning at the edges of the end papers with wear along the corners of the cover boards and along the spine, AEG. Text is clean with mild foxing throughout. Very good.
