Unscheinbarer schwarzer Lederband, Vorsätze leicht braunfleckig, zwei Seiten mit kleinem Einriß (2cm), eine beschriftete Seite mit kleinem Eckausriß. ; Justus Gesenius wurde am 6. Juli 1601 in Esbeck . studierte seit 1618 bei Georg Calixt in Helmstedt Theologie und erhielt 1628 in Jena den Magister. Gesenius war von 1629 bis 1636 Pfarrer an St. Magnus in Braunschweig. Er wurde später zweiter Hofprediger an der Kathedrale in Hildesheim und wurde 1642 in Hannover Konsistorialrat, erster Hofprediger und Generalsuperintendent der Generaldiözese Calenberg und 1666 auch der Generaldiözese Grubenhagen. 1646 führte Gesenius eine Generalvisitation durch und führte dabei die allgemeine Schulpflicht ein.
