Summary of Shadows on the Court: The Ghost UnionPrologue: The Return of the Spirits (1999)In 1999, a first-year student named Rajesh Kumar Chaubey commits suicide in Room 313 of MVIT Bangalore's Boys Hostel 1, unable to cope with academic pressure and ragging. His death reawakens the spirits of Vipen Yadav, a 1994 suicide victim, and Satapati, who died in a motorcycle accident near the hostel. The three spirits form a "ghost union," bound by their shared pain and unfinished business. The hostel becomes a hotspot for paranormal activity: basketballs bounce on their own, motorcycles rev in the dead of night, and shadows move through the corridors. The warden seals off Room 313, but the ghosts grow stronger, feeding on the fear and despair of the students.Book 1: The New Batch (2001)Chapter 1: Sandeep Singh ArrivesIn 2001, Sandeep Singh, a first-year student from Punjab, moves into Room 203 of Boys Hostel 1. His roommate, Amritash, warns him about the hostel's haunted history, particularly Room 313, where Rajesh died.
