Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book contemplates the nature, conditions, and effects of constitutional principles across different nations. Four renowned scholars provide historically based accounts of political and social influences affecting electoral systems and offer distinct perspectives on the ensuing effects. The author underscores that this book is not a straightforward theoretical text but rather offers practical insights into the development and implementation of constitutional principles. The book's exploration of constitutional systems highlights how they reflect the character of different societies, their pasts, and their aspirations. The author argues that there is no perfect electoral system, but rather one that is suitable for a particular set of circumstances and the people who will operate it. The scholars in this book explore how any system can only be as good as the people who make it work. The author concludes by emphasizing the crucial and multifaceted role of elections in shaping the social and political landscape of nations, underscoring the importance of understanding the historical and contextual factors that influence their design and operation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
